Gender Career

Once again, the same as the other reaction  towards the first but by now I'm use to the settings of the test, So this time the test was separated by the female and male with the category of Career responsibility and Family oriented job. During the stimulation, i was just the same as the first, separate each subject into two different category. I felt somewhat cold towards the test , i didn't like it one bit. For once i wanted the stimulation to end really quickly. I mean men are suppose to focus on career and women to be a homemaker. in this i majorly disagree with the category and repeatedly put the career into the women category since i see a more interaction with the female role as the head of the household in my family settings.  The results interpets that i have little to no association of male with a career and female with family that differs from the female with a career and make with family. Which is reasonable with the fact i was raised in the setting that change drastically to women being both homemaker and finance from.

I recommend to make the stimulation to like clothing wear like bras, boxer, briefs, dresses and slacks in the category like a stimulation on what exactly the each gender is suppose to wear.

Gender Science

The Gender Science test was a scrabble for me personally since i associated the science a much more masculine then feminine and arts a more a mixture of the both genders
So the test was strange like the beginning the instructions to locate my fingers onto a certain key in order to answer the questions with two to four separate groups.
For the Gender Science it was separated for science, liberal arts, female and male gender roles are suppose to be separated to the category where they belong. I found it strange how the mixed the categories around and insist i answer the questions as quickly as possible.
My Results of the Test.

My test result explained that i have little to no association
between Female and Make with either liberal arts and
science. Meaning, is that i believe that a category for
a job has nothing to do with gender-roles and should
be aimed for each gender. I believe their is certain jobs the
are mainly targeted for men and women alike. For example
construction workers, usually the workers are men
and swimsuit models are usually women; The employer
had a choice between a women and a man to be
construction workers the employer would choose
the man for the job and probably base this on the
fact that the man is a man and the employer
predicted that the men are stronger then women.
But even if those jobs are that way, there are jobs split
equally between men a women and it shouldn't matter
as to why a role has to fall for a job that's predetermined
for them because of their gender.

During class, a couch for the football team walked into
our Spanish 2 classroom looking for students to help
out with lifting some textbooks and lots of hands were
raised to volunteer for the job and all of the students
that were chosen was a boy and i seen a few girls hands
were raised but weren't chosen. Is it because the meaning
of looking for volunteers were the disguise of looking for
boys to help? Why couldn't any of the girls help
out too, they are very capable as much as any of the
boys. Maybe his mindset was the fact he thought that
the boys were more capable in picking up
more textbooks then the girls were.

I think the category should of been lengthen more boarder
and the text more simply since i got confused since they
switch a category from one key to another after i gotten
used to the set key is the first place
Gender - Science. This IAT often reveals a relative link between liberal arts and females and between science and males.
